The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Make the road seven cubits wide."
حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا المثنى بن سعيد عن قتادة عن بشير بن كعب
قال رسول الله ﷺ اجعلوا الطريق سبع أذرع

Its isnad is sahih. Tirmidhi (1355) and Ibn Majah (2338) narrated it. The meaning of the hadith is that if you disagree about the width of a road, make it seven cubits, as mentioned previously at 2098 and 9503.
