A fight broke out among the tribe of Amr bin Awf, and news of it reached the Prophet ﷺ. He went to them after the noon prayer to make peace between them, and he said to Bilal, "If the time of the afternoon prayer comes and I have not returned to you, instruct Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."When the time of the afternoon prayer came, Bilal called the adhan, then the iqamah, then he instructed Abu Bakr, who stepped forward to lead.At the end of the report, the Prophet ﷺ said, "If something happens to you during the prayer, the men should say 'Subhan Allah' and the women should clap."
حدثنا عمرو بن عون أخبرنا حماد بن زيد عن أبي حازم
كان قتال بين بني عمرو بن عوف فبلغ ذلك النبي ﷺ فأتاهم ليصلح بينهم بعد الظهر فقال لبلال إن حضرت صلاة العصر ولم آتك فمر أبا بكر فليصل بالناس فلما حضرت العصر أذن بلال ثم أقام ثم أمر أبا بكر فتقدم قال في آخره إذا نابكم شيء في الصلاة فليسبح الرجال وليصفح النساء
