A companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reported that whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated, he would hold his upper arms away from his sides so much that we felt sorry for him.

صاحب رسول الله ﷺ أن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا سجد جافى عضديه عن جنبيه حتى نأوي له
