Zayd bin Thabit said to me, "Why do you recite from the short surahs of the Mufassal in the Maghrib prayer? I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting in the Maghrib prayer with the longest of the two long ones."I asked, "What are the longest of the two long ones?"He replied, "Al-Araf, and the other one is al-Anam."The narrator said, I myself asked Ibn Abu Mulayka, and he told me from his own opinion, "Al-Maidah and al-Araf."
