I and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the ritual bath from a single vessel while we were both in a state of major impurity.
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن سفيان حدثني منصور عن إبراهيم عن الأسود
كنت أغتسل أنا ورسول الله ﷺ من إناء واحد ونحن جنبان
Bukhari transmitted it in the chapter on menstruation, section on touching a menstruating woman, no. 299, from the hadith of Sufyan through this same chain. Mizzi attributed it in Tuhfat Ashraf, 11/369, no. 15983, to Sahih Muslim, from the hadith of Thawri, Zaidah, from Mansur through this same chain.
