He saw Abdullah bin Zubayr leading them in prayer, gesturing with his palms when he stood up, when he bowed, when he prostrated, and when he rose to stand. He would stand and gesture with his hands.So I went to Ibn Abbas and said, "I saw Ibn Zubayr perform a prayer the like of which I have never seen anyone perform," and I described this gesturing to him.He replied, "If you wish to see the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then follow the prayer of Abdullah bin Zubayr."

أنه رأى عبد الله بن الزبير وصلى بهم يشير بكفيه حين يقوم وحين يركع وحين يسجد وحين ينهض للقيام فيقوم فيشير بيديه فانطلقت إلى ابن عباس فقلت إني رأيت ابن الزبير صلى صلاة لم أر أحدا يصليها فوصفت له هذه الإشارة فقال إن أحببت أن تنظر إلى صلاة رسول الله ﷺ فاقتد بصلاة عبد الله بن الزبير
