Waail bin Hajar reported,

I said to myself, "I shall observe carefully how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performs his prayer."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and faced the qiblah, then said the takbir and raised his hands until they were level with his ears. Then he grasped his left hand with his right. When he intended to bow, he raised his hands in the same manner, then placed his hands on his knees. When he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands in the same manner. When he prostrated, he placed his head on the ground at the same level as his hands. Then he sat, spreading his left foot beneath him, placing his left hand on his left thigh, and resting the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh. He folded two fingers and made a circle.I saw him saying it like this, and Bishr made a circle with his thumb and middle finger and pointed with his index finger.
