I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he began the prayer, raise his hands until they were level with his shoulders, and likewise when he intended to bow, and after he raised his head from bowing.Sufyan once said, "And when he raised his head," but most often he would say, "And after he raised his head from bowing." He did not raise them between the two prostrations.

رأيت رسول الله ﷺ إذا استفتح الصلاة رفع يديه حتى يحاذي منكبيه وإذا أراد أن يركع وبعدما يرفع رأسه من الركوع وقال سفيان مرة وإذا رفع رأسه وأكثر ما كان يقول وبعد ما يرفع رأسه من الركوع ولا يرفع بين السجدتين
Recorded by Muslim, Prayer, chapter on the recommendation of raising the hands level with the shoulders at the tasleem of ihram and at ruku, etc., hadith 390, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna with the same wording. Bukhari also narrated it, hadith 735, 736, 738, from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri with the same wording. It is also found in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad, 8/2.
