I came riding on a donkey. (Another chain) Qanabi narrated to us from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Utba, from Ibn Abbas, who said:I came riding on a female donkey, and at that time I had nearly reached the age of puberty. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was leading the people in prayer at Mina. I passed in front of part of the row, then dismounted and let the donkey graze freely, and I joined the row. No one objected to that.

جئت على حمار ح و حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك عن ابن شهاب عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة عن ابن عباس قال أقبلت راكبا على أتان وأنا يومئذ قد ناهزت الاحتلام ورسول الله ﷺ يصلي بالناس بمنى فمررت بين يدي بعض الصف فنزلت فأرسلت الأتان ترتع ودخلت في الصف فلم ينكر ذلك أحد
Bukhari narrated it in the Chapters on the Screen of the One Praying, the Chapter on the Imam's Screen Being a Screen (for those behind him too), hadith 493. And Muslim narrated it in the Book of Prayer, the Chapter on the Screen of the One Praying and the Encouragement to Pray Facing a Screen, etc, hadith 504, from the hadith of Malik through this same chain. It is also found in Muwatta (Yahya's recension), 1/155, 156.
