Abu Qasim ﷺ said, and he then mentioned the hadith of drawing a line.Sufyan said, "We have found nothing to strengthen this hadith, and it has come only through this single chain."The narrator said, I said to Sufyan, "People differ regarding it."He thought for a moment, then said, "I do not remember anyone except Abu Muhammad bin Amr."Sufyan said, "A man came here after Ismail bin Umaya had died and searched for this elder, Abu Muhammad, until he found him and questioned him about it, but he confused him in his answer."

عن أبي القاسم ﷺ قال فذكر حديث الخط قال سفيان لم نجد شيئا نشد به هذا الحديث ولم يجئ إلا من هذا الوجه قال قلت لسفيان إنهم يختلفون فيه فتفكر ساعة ثم قال ما أحفظ إلا أبا محمد بن عمرو قال سفيان قدم هاهنا رجل بعد ما مات إسمعيل بن أمية فطلب هذا الشيخ أبا محمد حتى وجده فسأله عنه فخلط عليه

Daif] Ibn Majah, Establishing Prayers, Chapter on What Screens the One Praying, no. 943, narrated it from Sufyan bin Uyayna through this route. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 811, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 407, 408.This hadith was graded daif by Sufyan bin Uyayna, Tahawi, Daraqutni, and the majority, and their verdict is the correct one.
