The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Shall we perform ablution from the well of Budaah, when it is a well into which menstrual rags, the flesh of dogs, and putrid matter are thrown?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Water is pure, nothing makes it impure."
حدثنا محمد بن العلاء والحسن بن علي ومحمد بن سليمان الأنباري قالوا حدثنا أبو أسامة عن الوليد بن كثير عن محمد بن كعب عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن رافع بن خديج
أنه قيل لرسول الله ﷺ أنتوضأ من بئر بضاعة وهي بئر يطرح فيها الحيض ولحم الكلاب والنتن فقال رسول الله ﷺ الماء طهور لا ينجسه شيء
Its chain of transmission is hasan. Tirmidhi narrated it in the chapters on purification, the chapter on what has been said that nothing makes water impure, hadith 66, from Hasan bin Ali, and he said, "This is a hasan hadith." Nasai also narrated it, hadith 327.
