The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who has reached the age of menstruation except with a head covering."
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا حجاج بن منهال حدثنا حماد عن قتادة عن محمد بن سيرين عن صفية بنت الحارث
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال لا يقبل الله صلاة حائض إلا بخمار
[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Chapter on Prayer, section "What Has Been Narrated: The Prayer of a Menstruating Woman Is Not Accepted Except with a Head Covering," no. 377, and Ibn Majah, no. 655, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama with the same chain. Tirmidhi said, hasan, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 775, as did Ibn Hibban (Al-Ihsan), nos. 1708, 1709, and Hakim, who said it meets the conditions of Muslim, 1/251, and Dhahabi agreed with him. It was also narrated by Hisham bin Hassan and Ayub Sakhtiyani, from Ibn Sirin with the same chain, found in Ibn Arabi's Mujam.
