The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about water found in open wilderness, and he mentioned something to that effect.
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد ح و حدثنا أبو كامل حدثنا يزيد يعني ابن زريع عن محمد بن إسحق عن محمد بن جعفر قال أبو كامل ابن الزبير
أن رسول الله ﷺ سئل عن الماء يكون في الفلاة فذكر معناه

[Sahih]Tirmidhi narrated it, in the Chapters on Purification, another chapter on it, hadith no. 67, and Ibn Majah narrated it, another chapter on it, hadith no. 517, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Ishaq, with this wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 92, as did Ibn Jarud, hadith no. 45. It has a non-detracting defect, and the following hadith serves as a corroborating witness for it.
