The Prophet ﷺ urged them to pray and forbade them from leaving before he himself had finished the prayer.
حدثنا محمد بن العلاء حدثنا حفص بن بغيل المرهبي حدثنا زائدة عن المختار بن فلفل
أن النبي ﷺ حضهم على الصلاة ونهاهم أن ينصرفوا قبل انصرافه من الصلاة
[Sahih] Baghawi narrated it in Sharh al-Sunnah, no. 707, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, with the same wording. Abu Saeed, the freed slave of Banu Hashim (Ahmad 3/240), and Muawiya bin Amr (Bayhaqi: 1922) also narrated it, from Zaidah, with the same wording.
