I spent the night at the house of my aunt Maymunah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up during the night, opened the waterskin, performed ablution, then tied the waterskin shut and stood up to pray. I got up and performed ablution the way he had, then came and stood on his left. He took hold of me with his right hand, turned me around behind him, and positioned me on his right side, and I prayed with him.
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن عبد الملك بن أبي سليمان عن عطاء
بت في بيت خالتي ميمونة فقام رسول الله ﷺ من الليل فأطلق القربة فتوضأ ثم أوكأ القربة ثم قام إلى الصلاة فقمت فتوضأت كما توضأ ثم جئت فقمت عن يساره فأخذني بيمينه فأدارني من ورائه فأقامني عن يمينه فصليت معه
Muslim narrated it in Salat al-Musafirin, chapter on the Prophet's ﷺ prayer and supplication at night, no. 193/763, from the hadith of Abdul-Malik bin Abu Sulayman through this route.
