He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "When you hear the caller to prayer, repeat what he says, then send blessings upon me. Whoever sends one blessing upon me, Allah will send ten blessings upon him in return. Then ask Allah to grant me al-Wasilah, for it is a station in Paradise that befits only one of the servants of Allah the Exalted, and I hope to be that servant. Whoever asks Allah to grant me al-Wasilah, my intercession becomes due for him."
حدثنا محمد بن سلمة حدثنا ابن وهب عن ابن لهيعة وحيوة وسعيد بن أبي أيوب عن كعب بن علقمة عن عبد الرحمن بن جبير
أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول إذا سمعتم المؤذن فقولوا مثل ما يقول ثم صلوا علي فإنه من صلى علي صلاة صلى الله عليه بها عشرا ثم سلوا الله عز وجل لي الوسيلة فإنها منزلة في الجنة لا تنبغي إلا لعبد من عباد الله تعالى وأرجو أن أكون أنا هو فمن سأل الله لي الوسيلة حلت عليه الشفاعة
Muslim narrated it, Prayer, chapter on the recommendation of saying the same as the caller to prayer for one who hears him, etc., no. 384, from Muhammad bin Salama Muradi through the same chain, but without mentioning Ibn Lahia.
