The Prophet ﷺ met Jafar bin Abu Talib, embraced him, and kissed him between the eyes.

[Its chain of transmission is daif] Bayhaqi narrated it, 7/101, from the hadith of Ajlah, with this wording, and it is also in Musannaf Ibn Abu Shayba, 8/12, 106, 433. The chain is mursal, and the hadith has daif corroborating narrations which I have listed in my study of Taqbeel wal-Muanaqah by Ibn Arabi, hadith no. 38.
