I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite the call to prayer in the ear of Hasan bin Ali when Fatimah gave birth to him.
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن سفيان قال حدثني عاصم بن عبيد الله
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ أذن في أذن الحسن بن علي حين ولدته فاطمة بالصلاة
[Its isnad is daif] Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Sacrifices, Chapter on the adhan in the ear of the newborn, hadith 1514, from the hadith of Yahya Qattan with this wording, and he said, "Hasan sahih." Asim bin Ubaydullah is daif, (hadith 3163). This hadith has corroborating narrations that are extremely daif and not suitable to serve as supporting evidence. Nevertheless, the practice of the Muslims has continued upon it without disagreement among them, and Allah knows best.
