The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from giving our slaves four names: Aflah, Yasar, Nafi, and Rabah.
حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا المعتمر قال سمعت الركين يحدث عن أبيه
نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن نسمي رقيقنا أربعة أسماء أفلح ويسارا ونافعا ورباحا
Muslim recorded it in the Book of Manners, in the chapter on the dislike of naming with ugly names, and with the name Nafi and similar names, hadith no. 2136, from the hadith of Mutamir, with this wording. It is also found in Musnad Ahmad, 12/5.
