The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let none of my companions convey to me anything about anyone, for I love to come out to you with a sound and untroubled heart."
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى بن فارس حدثنا الفريابي عن إسرائيل عن الوليد قال أبو داود ونسبه لنا زهير بن حرب عن حسين ابن محمد عن إسرائيل في هذا الحديث قال الوليد ابن أبي هشام عن زيد بن زائد
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يبلغني أحد من أصحابي عن أحد شيئا فإني أحب أن أخرج إليكم وأنا سليم الصدر
[Its chain of transmission is daif]. Tirmidhi narrated it in the Virtues, chapter on the merit of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ, hadith 3896, from Muhammad bin Yahya Dhuhli through this route, and he said, "Gharib." Walid bin Abu Hisham is mastur (of unknown status), and Zayd bin Zaid was not deemed reliable by anyone other than Ibn Hibban.
