The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sits in a place without remembering Allah in it will incur a loss from Allah, and whoever lies down in a place without remembering Allah in it will incur a loss from Allah."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا الليث عن ابن عجلان عن سعيد المقبري
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال من قعد مقعدا لم يذكر الله فيه كانت عليه من الله ترة ومن اضطجع مضجعا لا يذكر الله فيه كانت عليه من الله ترة
[Hasan] Nasai narrated it in Kubra, no. 10237, 10654, and in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 404, 818, from Qutayba, through this route. Humaydi also narrated it, no. 1158, and Nawawi graded it hasan in Riyad al-Salihin, no. 819. Ibn Ajlan was corroborated by Abdul-Rahman bin Ishaq al-Madani, as found in Hakim, 1/492.
