The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two people must not converse privately to the exclusion of a third, for that grieves him."
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش ح و حدثنا مسدد حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن الأعمش عن شقيق يعني ابن سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا ينتجي اثنان دون الثالث فإن ذلك يحزنه
Reported by Muslim, Book of Greetings, Chapter on the Prohibition of Two People Whispering Privately Without the Third Person's Consent, hadith no. 2184/38, from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, through the same chain.
