A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and one of the men sitting there stood up to give him his seat. As the man went to sit in it, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade him from doing so.
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة أن محمد بن جعفر حدثهم عن شعبة عن عقيل بن طلحة قال سمعت أبا الخصيب
جاء رجل إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقام له رجل من مجلسه فذهب ليجلس فيه فنهاه رسول الله ﷺ
[Its chain is daif]. Ahmad recorded it, 2/84, from Muhammad bin Jafar through this route, and its chain is daif. Abu Khusayb was deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban alone, but the hadith of Bukhari, no. 6269, Muslim, 2177/29, and Hakim, 4/272, no. 7713, suffices in its place.
