In this account, she said that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Ayesha, among the worst of people are those who are shown respect only out of fear of their tongues."
حدثنا عباس العنبري حدثنا أسود بن عامر حدثنا شريك عن الأعمش عن مجاهد
في هذه القصة قالت فقال تعني النبي ﷺ يا عائشة إن من شرار الناس الذين يكرمون اتقاء ألسنتهم
[Its isnad is daif]. Ahmad narrated it (6/111) from Aswad bin Amir with this chain.Sharik the judge and Sulayman Amash both narrated using "an" (an indirect form without an explicit statement of direct hearing).
