"Take what is easily forgiven" [Araf 7:199]. He said, the Prophet of Allah ﷺ was commanded to accept what comes easily from people's character.
حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم حدثنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن الطفاوي عن هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
{خذ العفو} قال أمر نبي الله ﷺ أن يأخذ العفو من أخلاق الناس
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Tafsir, Surah Araf, chapter "Take pardon, command what is good, and turn away from the ignorant," hadith no. 4644, from the hadith of Hisham bin Urwa, through this same chain.
