Someone asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Messenger of Allah, are the people of Paradise distinguished from the people of the Fire?"He replied, "Yes."The questioner asked, "Then why do people strive in their deeds?"He answered, "Each person is made ready for what he was created for."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن يزيد الرشك قال حدثنا مطرف
قيل لرسول الله ﷺ يا رسول الله أعلم أهل الجنة من أهل النار قال نعم قال ففيم يعمل العاملون قال كل ميسر لما خلق له
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Divine Decree, chapter on how the human being is created in his mother's womb, etc., hadith no. 2649, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Divine Decree, chapter "The pen dried according to Allah's knowledge," hadith no. 6596, from the hadith of Yazid Rishk, with the same wording.
