Saad bin Abu Waqqas reported,

The Prophet ﷺ was distributing shares among the Muslims when I said, "Give to so-and-so, for he is a believer."He replied, "Or a Muslim. I sometimes give a man a share while another is dearer to me than him, out of fear that he might be cast on his face into the Fire."

عن عامر بن سعد عن أبيه

أن النبي ﷺ قسم بين المسلمين قسما فقلت أعط فلانا فإنه مؤمن قال أو مسلم إني لأعطي الرجل العطاء وغيره أحب إلي منه مخافة أن يكب على وجهه
