The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Faith has seventy-some branches. The highest is saying, 'There is no god but Allah,' and the lowest is removing a bone from the road. Modesty is a branch of faith."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد أخبرنا سهيل بن أبي صالح عن عبد الله بن دينار عن أبي صالح
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال الإيمان بضع وسبعون أفضلها قول لا إله إلا الله وأدناها إماطة العظم عن الطريق والحياء شعبة من الإيمان
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith, Chapter on Explaining the Number of the Branches of Faith and the Best and Least of Them, hadith no. 35, from the hadith of Suhayl bin Abu Salih, transmitting it in this manner. Bukhari also narrated it, hadith no. 9, through another route from Abdullah bin Dinar, transmitting it in this manner.
