I heard Ayub say, "Two types of people have lied about al-Hasan. One group holds the doctrine of qadar as their view and wants to promote their opinion through him. The other group harbors hatred and resentment toward him in their hearts, saying, 'Isn't this from what he says? Isn't this from what he says?'"
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب قال
سمعت أيوب يقول كذب على الحسن ضربان من الناس قوم القدر رأيهم وهم يريدون أن ينفقوا بذلك رأيهم وقوم له في قلوبهم شنآن وبغض يقولون أليس من قوله كذا أليس من قوله كذا

Its isnad is sahih. Lalikai narrated it in Sharh al-Sunnah 4/681, hadith 1253, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, and Bayhaqi in Qadar wal-Qadr, folio 87(b), from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, through the same chain.
