The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said regarding wounds that expose the bone, "Five camels."

Its isnad is hasan. Nasai narrated it in the chapter on qisamah, the section on head wounds (al-mawadih), no. 4856, from the hadith of Khalid bin Harith, in the same manner. Tirmidhi, no. 1390, said it is hasan sahih, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 785.
