The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever kills his slave, we will kill him, and whoever mutilates his slave, we will mutilate him."
حدثنا علي بن الجعد حدثنا شعبة ح و حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد عن قتادة عن الحسن
أن النبي ﷺ قال من قتل عبده قتلناه ومن جدع عبده جدعناه
[Hasan] Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Blood Money, in the chapter "What Has Been Said About a Man Who Kills His Slave," hadith no. 1414, and Ibn Majah narrated it, hadith no. 2663, and Nasai narrated it, hadith nos. 4742 and 4740, from the hadith of Qatada, with the same wording. Tirmidhi said, "hasan gharib." It is also found in Musnad Ali bin Jaad, hadith no. 984. Hakim graded it sahih according to the criteria of Bukhari, 4/367, hasan, from Samura, hasan, as mentioned previously, hadith no. 354. Dhahabi agreed with him.
