Qatada reported from Anas that the Prophet ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until people boast to one another about the mosques."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الخزاعي حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة
وقتادة عن أنس أن النبي ﷺ قال لا تقوم الساعة حتى يتباهى الناس في المساجد
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Tabarani narrated it in Al-Saghir 2/114, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih 2/282. Ibn Majah narrated it, hadith 739, and Nasai, hadith 690, from the hadith of Hammad bin Salama, from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Anas, with similar wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith 308.
