The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When they drink wine, flog them. Then if they drink, flog them. Then if they drink, flog them. Then if they drink, kill them."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا أبان عن عاصم عن أبي صالح ذكوان
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا شربوا الخمر فاجلدوهم ثم إن شربوا فاجلدوهم ثم إن شربوا فاجلدوهم ثم إن شربوا فاقتلوهم
Graded, its isnad is hasan. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Hudud, chapter of what has been reported concerning "Whoever drinks wine, flog him," etc., no. 1444, and Ibn Majah, no. 2573, from the hadith of Asim bin Bahdala with this chain. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1519, as did Dhahabi in Talkhis Al-Mustadrak, 4/372.
