A woman from Ghamid came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have committed adultery."He said, "Go back."So she went back. The next day she came to him again and said, "Perhaps you want to turn me away as you turned away Maez bin Malik. By Allah, I am pregnant."He said to her, "Go back."So she went back. The next day she came to him again, and he said to her, "Go back until you give birth."So she went back. When she had given birth, she came to him with the child and said, "Here, I have given birth to him."He said to her, "Go back and nurse him until you wean him."She came to him after she had weaned the child, and the boy had something in his hand that he was eating. The Prophet ﷺ then gave orders concerning the child, and he was handed over to one of the Muslims. Then he gave orders concerning her, a pit was dug for her, and he commanded that she be stoned.Khalid was among those who stoned her. He threw a stone at her, and a drop of her blood splashed onto his cheek, so he cursed her. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Easy, Khalid. By the One in whose hand is my soul, she has repented with such a repentance that if a corrupt tax collector had repented like this, he would have been forgiven."Then he gave orders concerning her, the funeral prayer was performed over her, and she was buried.
حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى الرازي أخبرنا عيسى بن يونس عن بشير بن المهاجر
أن امرأة يعني من غامد أتت النبي ﷺ فقالت إني قد فجرت فقال ارجعي فرجعت فلما أن كان الغد أتته فقالت لعلك أن تردني كما رددت ماعز بن مالك فوالله إني لحبلى فقال لها ارجعي فرجعت فلما كان الغد أتته فقال لها ارجعي حتى تلدي فرجعت فلما ولدت أتته بالصبي فقالت هذا قد ولدته فقال لها ارجعي فأرضعيه حتى تفطميه فجاءت به وقد فطمته وفي يده شيء يأكله فأمر بالصبي فدفع إلى رجل من المسلمين وأمر بها فحفر لها وأمر بها فرجمت وكان خالد فيمن يرجمها فرجمها بحجر فوقعت قطرة من دمها على وجنته فسبها فقال له النبي ﷺ مهلا يا خالد فوالذي نفسي بيده لقد تابت توبة لو تابها صاحب مكس لغفر له وأمر بها فصلي عليها ودفنت
