A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said that he had committed adultery. The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him. The man repeated his statement several times, and each time the Prophet ﷺ turned away from him.The Prophet ﷺ then asked his people, "Is he insane?"They replied, "There is nothing wrong with him."He asked the man, "Did you actually do it with her?"The man answered, "Yes."So the Prophet ﷺ ordered that he be stoned. He was taken away and stoned, and the Prophet ﷺ did not perform the funeral prayer over him.
حدثنا أبو كامل حدثنا يزيد بن زريع حدثنا خالد يعني الحذاء عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس أن
أتى النبي ﷺ فقال إنه زنى فأعرض عنه فأعاد عليه مرارا فأعرض عنه فسأل قومه أمجنون هو قالوا ليس به بأس قال أفعلت بها قال نعم فأمر به أن يرجم فانطلق به فرجم ولم يصل عليه
