Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

He passed by Ali bin Abu Talib , with the meaning of Uthman's report.Ali said, "Do you not remember that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The pen has been lifted from three: from the insane person who has lost his reason until he recovers, from the sleeping person until he awakens, and from the child until he reaches puberty'?"He said, "You have spoken the truth."So he released her.

حدثنا ابن السرح أخبرنا ابن وهب أخبرني جرير بن حازم عن سليمان بن مهران عن أبي ظبيان

عن ابن عباس قال

مر على علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه بمعنى عثمان قال أو ما تذكر أن رسول الله ﷺ قال رفع القلم عن ثلاثة عن المجنون المغلوب على عقله حتى يفيق وعن النائم حتى يستيقظ وعن الصبي حتى يحتلم قال صدقت قال فخلى عنها
