The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pardon one another regarding the prescribed punishments among yourselves, for once a prescribed punishment reaches me, it must be carried out."
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Nasai narrated it in the chapter on cutting off the thief, the section on what constitutes a secure place and what does not, hadith no. 4890, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Wahb, with the same chain. Hakim graded it sahih, 4/383, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has corroborating narrations in meaning, see hadith no. 4394. Ibn Jurayj used an ambiguous form of transmission (an'ana), but hadith no. 4394 renders it unnecessary.
