Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said one day from the pulpit, "While some people were traveling at sea their provisions ran out. An island appeared before them, so they went ashore hoping to find food. There they were met by the Jassasa."I said to Abu Salama, "What is the Jassasa?"He replied, "A woman dragging the hair of her skin and head."She said, "He is in this castle." Then he mentioned the rest of the hadith, and that the figure asked about the palm trees of Baysan and the spring of Zughar, and the Prophet said, "He is the Masih."The son of Abu Salama said to me, "There is something in this hadith that you did not memorize."He said, "Jabir testified that this was indeed Ibn Sayyad."I said, "But he has died."He said, "Even if he has died."I said, "But he accepted Islam."He said, "Even if he accepted Islam."I said, "But he entered Madina."He said, "Even if he entered Madina."

عن جابر قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ ذات يوم على المنبر إنه بينما أناس يسيرون في البحر فنفد طعامهم فرفعت لهم جزيرة فخرجوا يريدون الخبز فلقيتهم الجساسة قلت لأبي سلمة وما الجساسة قال امرأة تجر شعر جلدها ورأسها قالت في هذا القصر فذكر الحديث وسأل عن نخل بيسان وعن عين زغر قال هو المسيح فقال لي ابن أبي سلمة إن في هذا الحديث شيئا ما حفظته قال شهد جابر أنه هو ابن صياد قلت فإنه قد مات قال وإن مات قلت فإنه أسلم قال وإن أسلم قلت فإنه قد دخل المدينة قال وإن دخل المدينة
