The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This nation of mine is a nation shown mercy. It will face no punishment in the Hereafter. Its punishment in this world comes through trials, earthquakes, and killing."
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا كثير بن هشام حدثنا المسعودي عن سعيد بن أبي بردة عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ أمتي هذه أمة مرحومة ليس عليها عذاب في الآخرة عذابها في الدنيا الفتن والزلازل والقتل
Sourcing, its chain is hasan. Ahmad reported it, 4/410, from the hadith of Kathir bin Hisham through this chain, and Hakim graded it sahih, 4/444, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Masudi narrated it before his confusion set in, and Muaz bin Muaz related it from him.
