Khalid bin Dahqan reported,

I asked Yahya bin Yahya Ghassani about the phrase "he killed him without just cause."He replied, "It refers to those who fight one another in times of civil strife. One of them kills, yet believes he is upon guidance and so does not ask Allah's forgiveness for what he has done."

سألت يحيى بن يحيى الغساني عن قوله اعتبط بقتله قال الذين يقاتلون في الفتنة فيقتل أحدهم فيرى أنه على هدى لا يستغفر الله يعني من ذلك
