The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set for us a time limit of forty days for shaving the pubic hair, clipping the nails, trimming the moustache, and plucking the underarm hair.

وقت لنا رسول الله ﷺ حلق العانة وتقليم الأظفار وقص الشارب ونتف الإبط أربعين يوما مرة
[Its chain is daif]. Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Book of Manners, chapter on what has been reported regarding the timing of trimming the nails and taking the mustache, hadith 2758, from the hadith of Sadaqah al-Daqiqi, and he is daif. The hadith of Jafar bin Sulayman found in Muslim, hadith 258, suffices in its place.
