[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Nasai narrated it in the chapter on Adornment, section on growing the hair, no. 5064, from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq, and Tirmidhi in Shamail, no. 29 (edited by me), from the hadith of Mamar, through the same route.
