The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Fatimah and found a curtain hanging at her door, so he did not enter. It was rare for him to come without beginning his visit at her home. Then Ali
arrived and saw her distressed. He asked, "What is the matter?"She replied, "The Prophet ﷺ came to me but did not enter."Ali
went to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, it has weighed heavily on Fatimah that you came to her and did not enter."He said, "What have I to do with the world, and what have I to do with embroidered cloth?"Ali went to Fatimah and informed her of what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said. She said, "Tell the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to instruct me what to do with it."He said, "Tell her to send it to the family of so-and-so."
