The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever misses the afternoon prayer, it is as though he has been bereaved of his family and stripped of his wealth."
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال الذي تفوته صلاة العصر فكأنما وتر أهله وماله
Bukhari transmitted it in "The Book of Prayer Times," chapter "The Sin of One Who Misses Asr," hadith: 552, and Muslim transmitted it in "The Book of Mosques," chapter "The Severity of Missing Asr Prayer," hadith: 626, both from the hadith of Malik through this route. It is also found in Muwatta (Yahya): 11/1, 12, (and Qanabi, p.
