The Messenger of Allah ﷺ received some Coptic garments and gave me one of them. He said, "Tear it into two pieces. Make one into a shirt for yourself, and give the other to your wife so she may use it as a head covering."When I turned to leave, he said, "And tell your wife to wear a garment underneath it so that it does not show her shape."

أتي رسول الله ﷺ بقباطي فأعطاني منها قبطية فقال اصدعها صدعين فاقطع أحدهما قميصا وأعط الآخر امرأتك تختمر به فلما أدبر قال وأمر امرأتك أن تجعل تحته ثوبا لا يصفها
