Asma bint Abu Bakr came in to see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing thin garments. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned away from her and said, "Asma, when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, nothing of her should be seen except this and this," pointing to his face and his hands.

أن أسماء بنت أبي بكر دخلت على رسول الله ﷺ وعليها ثياب رقاق فأعرض عنها رسول الله ﷺ وقال يا أسماء إن المرأة إذا بلغت المحيض لم تصلح أن يرى منها إلا هذا وهذا وأشار إلى وجهه وكفيه

[Its chain of transmission is daif]Bayhaqi narrated it, 2/226 and 7/86, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, with this chain.Walid bin Muslim did not explicitly state that he heard it directly. Saeed bin Bashir is daif (Taqrib). Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr said, "He narrates objectionable reports from Qatada." Saji said, "He narrated objectionable reports from Qatada." Qatada used the term "an" (indicating a non-explicit chain), if the chain of transmission to him is sound.The hadith has daif corroborating narrations, in Maraseel by Abu Dawud, no. 437, and Bayhaqi, and others.
