The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of the Trench, "They kept us from the middle prayer, the Asr prayer. May Allah fill their houses and their graves with fire."
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا يحيى بن زكريا بن أبي زائدة ويزيد بن هارون عن هشام بن حسان عن محمد بن سيرين عن عبيدة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يوم الخندق حبسونا عن صلاة الوسطى صلاة العصر ملأ الله بيوتهم وقبورهم نارا
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad, Chapter on invoking defeat and turmoil upon the polytheists, h: 2931, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Mosques, Chapter on the evidence for those who say that the middle prayer is the Asr prayer, h: 627, from the hadith of Hisham bin Hassan, with the same chain.
