The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wrapping oneself in the Samma manner and sitting with one's knees drawn up while wearing only a single garment.
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد عن أبي الزبير
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الصماء وعن الاحتباء في ثوب واحد
Muslim narrated it in "The Book of Clothing," in the chapter "Prohibition of Ishtimal al-Samma and Ihtiba..." etc., no. 2099, from the hadith of Abu Zubayr, with the same wording.
