The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the Asr prayer while the sun was still shining in her chamber, before it had risen above the walls.
حدثنا القعنبي قال قرأت على مالك بن أنس عن ابن شهاب قال عروة ولقد
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يصلي العصر والشمس في حجرتها قبل أن تظهر
Bukhari narrated it in "Times of Prayer," chapter on the times of prayer and their virtue, no. 522, and Muslim in "Mosques," chapter on the times of the five prayers, no. 611, from the hadith of Malik, and it is found in the Muwatta (Yahya), 4/1 (and Qanabi, p. 27).
