The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed in a patterned cloak with markings on it. He glanced at its markings, and when he finished the prayer he said, "Take this cloak of mine to Abu Jahm, for it just distracted me during my prayer, and bring me his plain woolen garment instead."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد حدثنا ابن شهاب الزهري عن عروة بن الزبير
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى في خميصة لها أعلام فنظر إلى أعلامها فلما سلم قال اذهبوا بخميصتي هذه إلى أبي جهم فإنها ألهتني آنفا في صلاتي وأتوني بأنبجانيته
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Dress, chapter on cloaks and marked garments, no. 5817, from Musa bin Ismail, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Mosques, chapter on the dislike of praying in a garment with markings, no. 556, from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri, through the same chain.
